Yes. Cloud and Local Private both include free usage for up to 20 files per day. Paid plans are designed for larger or repeated conversion jobs.
Cloud uploads your files to FormatGo for server-side processing and uses Cloud Points. Local Private performs supported HEIC conversions directly in your browser, so your files stay on your device and no Cloud Points are required.
Most successful file conversions use 1 Cloud Point. Files that require unusually long processing may use additional points. Failed conversions do not consume Cloud Points.
No. Cloud Points are charged for successful conversions. A failed conversion does not consume points.
Paid Local Private plans do not impose a product-side limit on the number of files you can process. Actual batch capacity still depends on your browser, memory, CPU and other device resources.
No. Local Private conversion runs directly in your browser. Supported files remain on your device throughout the conversion.
Local Private currently supports HEIC to JPG and HEIC to PNG conversion. Cloud plans additionally support HEIC to WebP and HEIC to PDF workflows.
The Pass ends after its 72-hour access period. Unused Cloud Pass Points expire with the Cloud Pass, while Local Private Pass access becomes unavailable until another valid Local Private plan is activated.
Cloud Pro includes 1,500 Cloud Points per billing month. Your monthly allowance resets when the next billing period begins.
Choose Pass when you have a one-time conversion job to finish. Choose Pro when you expect to use the same processing mode repeatedly each month.
